Story of a Bird

Posted by: osiris on: January 2, 2009

I got this story from my email which is worth sharing. I seldom do email forwards thus I posted it here.

Photos of two birds are said to have been taken in the Republic of Ukraine where the bird is trying to save his mate. Millions of people cry after watching this picture in America and Europe. It is said that the photographer sold these picture for a nominal price to the most famous news paper in France. And all the copies of that news paper were sold out on the day of publishing these pictures.

Here his mate is injured and the condition is appalling.

Here he brings her food and attend her with love and compassion.

Brings her food but shocked with her death and try to move her.

He is aware that his sweetheart is dead and will not come to him again, he cries with adoring love.

Stand beside her and scream saddened of her death.

Finally aware that she would not return to him and she has departed, stands besider her body, sad and sorrow.

Tuburan – My mom’s hometown

Posted by: osiris on: January 1, 2009

Last December 23 I went to Tuburan along with my lola. She used to spent her Christmas at our house in Mandaue that time but unfortunately she received a text message from her daughter that she’s needed there. I accompanied her as she is too old already to venture a 4hours journey alone. I hurriedly took a bath and packed up a little as I will be spending a night there. We rode in a bus named Emmanuel and was able to reach grandma’s place at 3pm. It’s not my first time to be there as we stayed there for a long while during summer when we were still kids. Oh those days really gives me headaches hehe as I had lots of memories of the place, of the people and specially the fun I’ve experienced :D .

Now I’m back there again and noticed remarkable changes. There were internet cafe’s already, some stores doubled it’s sizes, a nicely built roof-covered gym, beautiful houses and some more. Wow! Tuburan is indeed a remarkable place. How I wish I was born there as I truly admired my mom’s hometown. I even told her that I’m going to build a house there in due time after all my goals are reached. Such a simple ambition for a guy like me hehe but I know the day will come someday where I will be living there *wink*. I was also able to attend the “Simbang Gabi” which is of course my first time in that place. Father Lucas headed the mass and it’s great. The ambiance is so cool that you can really tell that the air is purified with nature’s natural effect. The people were friendly as I took my seat in between the ladies where they provided a slot for me hehe. After the mass we then moved out to enjoy the dawn’s masterpiece where the lights are still glowing under the velvet sky. The sun is rising so we took some small steps on the old port I guess and then went back after a while. Of course if you are in another place you have to take some views along with you.

So I took some pictures there however it is just a handful of views but will try next time to get some more specially the great spots that everyone usually goes to ;) . You can see more pictures here >> Tuburan.

Lastly,

My wishes for you in this year 2009.
Great start for Jan,
Love for Feb,
Peace for March,
No worries for April
Fun for May,
Joy for June to Nov,
Happiness for Dec,
Have a lucky and wonderful 2009.

Happy New Year!!

SSS Adventure

Posted by: osiris on: December 29, 2008

I’ve been thinking a lot lately which disables my presence online. There has been a lot of things that happened for the past days. The worst thing is that I’m very busy standing in line at SSS (Social Security System) after my shift just to get a priority number for a followup on my loan request. I filed the loan last December 11, 2008 not in a sense that I need the money but for the cause of trying to check if it is still there. You may wonder why right? The sad thing why is because our neighbor has a pending complaint about it where his contributions was sabotaged by some SSS employees.

In short, someone inside from SSS loaned already using his own contributions under his own name without his knowledge. He suffered from the deductions in his payroll every payday for the thing he didn’t committed.

In fact it is unethical for a government employee to use other people’s contributions for their sake. A totally sad truth, no wonder why Philippines got one of the highest rating in terms of “Corruption”.

Then I passed my application and was told to come back for the next 3 days as a follow up. To make it sure, I gave it 5 days and decided to go there on December 17, Tuesday morning after my work as I’m in a night shift. The line is too long that I got a priority number of 186 wew. So I need to wait again for my number to be called. It was almost 11am and guess what the number being processed by the Generalist as what they call their Customer Service is stucked at 85 which leave me with no other choice but to go home as I still have work in the evening and decided to just come back the next day.

The next day came December 18, 2008 at 7:45am I got a priority number of 92 which made me think that I can then be assisted with my request. At 10:35am I was able to reach one of their representative amidst my sleepy nature that time. Unfortunately I didn’t find any answer to my request as he keeps on telling that they cannot check it as they’re having some server problems that time. Ouch! They made me fall in line, get a priority number, wait for hours and just received this resolution! Amazing isn’t it. He was stunned a bit when I told him about my journey in their office. I even told him that they could have just inform the masses about it by placing a banner or something however he provided me with a direct number that I can call which I gladly accepted and ended my adventure that day. I went directly to our home as I am very very tired already and will just try to give it a call tomorrow morning.

The following day around 10am I dialed the number given which is 232-7263 to inquire about my loan status. The line was busy all the time and wasn’t able to reach anyone there. I tried to call again after 10mins and still busy, checked again after 30mins but to no avail and give it an hour but to no luck at all. I can’t even connect to their website most of the time at http://sss.gov.ph/. Don’t they have so much funds for their servers? Oh well I’m tired already so I gave them all the time in the world. December is going to end soon but I will still give them another chance. I’ll try to check on it this morning again after my shift on the status. I hope it’s there already this time. Bye for now! Got to work ;)

our christmas tree at homeAnother Christmas had arrived in our home. Everything is well preserved as what I’ve seen. The bond we all shared has tremendously tightened up even better. This is really the place you can call HOME ;) . I can feel how proud my parents are as they both can see their children in harmony intertwined by faith and love towards each other. I’m so thankful about it because of them we’ve growned up in the right way. We are actually 8 in the family including my parents. I’m the eldest among the siblings of 4 boys and 2 girls. We are a big family indeed but we were just lucky as I may say. Lucky enough that we are wealthy emotionally and spiritually. Hmmm does this has to deal with some traditional thing? I’ve learned that my mom entangled our umbilical cords with a strong cotton and wrapped it in our upper house’s posts. We talked about it sometimes when we are not busy (my mom and me) and yes maybe that did the trick *wink* oopsss sorry Lord you are included too as you know already your place in our family right?;)

our twin brothers ;) The fireworks has started to catch the noise. Our youngest which are the twins hurriedly went outside to see the glowing colors of the sky. It only took minutes to erupt and then slowly subsides. We then get together to enjoy the food that my mom and sisters did. The food was great, I love my mom’s spaghetti over than my sister’s ham haha but still we enjoyed all the dishes they served ;) . Then goes the Videoke thing as this is very common here in the Philippines. I’ll just have to stop here as I’m not good in singing though I tried to sing but they end up laughing hehe. Anyways, belated Merry Christmas and Advance Happy New Year to all of you.

My new puppy ;)

Posted by: osiris on: December 19, 2008

I got a new puppy this month which was given by my friend Gilbert ;) . Well it’s not really something that I knew that he will be the one to give it from our “Something S” scheme because I don’t have any clues if it is him or not. That time I am 99% certain it is Super Idol Archie who got my name. All the assumptions I’ve gathered points directly to him but eventually it turned out the other way around. In short, my instincts failed me this time hehe. But it was fun assuming about the gifts we will be receiving if it will make us proud or not hehe. It was a theme on that event actually but what made it more lively is that there are those people who received gifts that can only be seen everywhere which is really really funny hehehe. I will no longer elaborate them as what counts the most is that all of us received what we wished for ;) .

Here’s the puppy I want you to meet. I named it “Solid” hehe. Why? Because it is just an art object. A figurine as what the public says. ;) ;) . Oh well another nonsense post hehe.

What happened?

What a busy week I had as it seems that I don’t have any time to take my body put to rest. I’ve been having lots and lots of party going on. Let me tell you what happened. Last December 13, it was Edjing’s debut(my sister) but I’m at work so I really don’t have any information on what really happened however I was able to greet her and took some pictures of her giveaways hehe. I even bought her a cake as my gift on that day. She was the youngest girl in our family and the most beautiful as what others usually say hehe. I took the digital camera and view some pictures on that evening and indeed they’re having some great time. I saw her close friends beside her and of course her boyfriend too and I think the event was fine as she was smiling when I got back from work. So I think I can consider it as a happy ever after.

(L-R: Yoyoy, Super Idol, Jiggy, Mackoy, Munde & Dash)

The next day December 14 was our Company Xmas Party @ Montebello. Damn you really should not miss that day as we took our faces out on the dance floor to perform our funny dance presentation. It was something that everyone wants to see as it is not our first time to performed in a jam-packed venue. Hehehe, again we paint smiles all over the place as I know they will never forget what we did. It is funny though as I tried to cover my wholesome face hehe with thicker layers of skin lol. Our dance routine were not that accurate as there were lots of flaws but I know everyone doesn’t seem to care all in all hehe. What matters most is that we made everyone enjoy something they can cherish for a little while.

Nothing unusual on December 15 as I just bought my gift for my manita Ritchel ;) . She just wanted to have a Unisilver bracelet and so I got her one. By the 16th of December I attended the “Misa de Gallo” at our place and later that afternoon went to Mr. A in Busai for our Team Party. The place is great as we can see an overview of Cebu as it’s background. It is quite cold that night but the warmest of friendships and team spirit lighted every one’s heart with joy and excitement. We enjoyed the food and the drinks as well as the exchanging of our gifts. Thanks to Gilbert for the Astray Blue Frame Gundam hehe, it was an additional to my collection. Everyone was happy receiving their own gifts hehe. It was really something worth reminiscing! What an evening as the flashing of camera’s won’t end. I bet we tried all kinds of positions in every corner of the area hehe. Honestly we are the noisiest among the customers haha but no worries ;) . After it, we then went to Gimik KTV in Paseo to continue the celebration. In there, each one sang out all there favorite songs and again a few little drinks for companion. You can view some pictures here >> http://summit.delosreyes-regidor.com/. Those pictures were taken from Chuvie’s phone. She’s the girl right there that you can probably see in each photo haha.

It was tiring though but is something worth sharing ;)

P.S.
I’ll be adding the pictures soon so stay put hehe!

New Theme Yey!

Posted by: osiris on: December 13, 2008

Yesterday I just had activated the new theme for my blog for the fact that I noticed a simple bug in the old one. I don’t know if it is being worked on or not but what drives me to change it instantly is my motivation to look for a new theme, and either my standards went far or I got really lucky cause I ended up getting something I’ve ignored for the last month hehe no offense.

The default new theme right now is called Dilectio, which comes from the Latin Language that means “love, solicitude, esteem”.

Kinda like it’s meaning as I tend to read it over and over again ;) . The funny thing is just it has some problems with the image coding as it tends to align the images to the left even if you wanted to have it in the middle. I’ve resized some pictures as a temporary workaround for the meantime as I don’t have time yet to manually check the coding itself. I’ve been a lazy bum lately in checking scripts hehe, maybe because I’m no longer use to it unlike those college days where coding is just as crunchy as the chips. I’m not saying that I’m good at it but I just knew a little bit of coding hehe afterall I’m a Computer Science lad :D .

Simply made! A very nice theme indeed!

Madagascar 2 ;)

Posted by: osiris on: December 11, 2008

I love to collect things, in fact I got some collections already at home and this is my latest addition =P. The Madagascar 2 items from McDonald’s Happy Meal. Wew, all of them doesn’t came from the same store actually as it took me to search for them in every McDonald franchise around Cebu haha. I usually asked the cashier if this item is available and if yes then I will be eating there but if not then I’m going to continue my search. You really have to spend your time just to complete it. I did tried to complete “The Incredibles” before however most of the items are out of stock. I wasn’t able to complete it but not this time :) . The first one I got was Marty the Zebra at McDonald’s IT Park and then the rest is history. So here they are :)

This blog was soulfully created for the reason that I like to remember everything in writing. Blogging is a good trick to log experiences and such which I'm very much thankful to the Lord. Thoughtless as I may say =) isn't it. You can know more about me under the About Page. Lastly, welcome to my site :)
